PROFESSIONAL
DEVELOPMENT
As one of Illinois approved professional
development providers, the EFE #330 is in an excellent position to help meet
your professional development needs. Every year we survey the field and meet
with a number of educators to determine the programs for the upcoming year. The
close working relations that we maintain with the business community help to
ensure that our professional development topics include real-world applications.
In addition, we search for the best presenters from state and national
conferences to include in our events. These approaches have helped to ensure
that the programs are both relevant and well
attended.

(VIP) PROGRAM ACADEMIC INSTRUCTION PRACTICUM (AIP) PROGRAM
Vocational Instruction Practicum (VIP) offers
career and technical instructors, counselors, and administrators in grades 7 to
14 an excellent opportunity to participate in a paid work-based learning
experience.
The VIP program is designed to place individuals in
short-term private or public sector jobs to enhance practical knowledge and
skills of the current employment opportunities. This program is one of the best
ways for educators to stay up-to-date with the requirements of today’s
workplace. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to expand their
business networks and experience the latest technological advances in their
field.
The VIP stipend is $100/day
Several state universities are
willing to provide credit for participation in the VIP program. It is, however,
the responsibility of each participant to contact the university and arrange for
credit. University approved course work is approved and applicable to
certificate renewal. Prior approval from you Local Professional Development
Committee (LPDC) will ensure activities are creditable. Each VIP participant
must complete a final reimbursement and reporting forms.
Academic
Instruction Practicum (AIP) offers the same opportunities but is open to
